News: Indian Head Today
Indian Head was settled in 1882 just ahead of the Canadian Pacific Railroad. The town became popular once the railroad was put in because of the one attraction in the area which was the Bell Farm. Tourists who were taking the train out West would often stop and watch the daily harvesting of the land. The reason for this was the sheer size of the farm (54,000 acres) which was pretty unheard of in Canada.
